As a team we use our unique skills to get more customers to your business through strategic marketing, but once the customer shows up it’s your responsibility to keep them happy. In this blog post I wanted to highlight a company that has outstanding service and amazing food. I first heard about Cafe Americano in Roseville from several friends and family members, so I thought I would give it a try.
I recently read an article asking if sketching is important to a designer and wanted to share my thoughts with you. Sketching is important when designing a logo but I do not believe it is a must. It allows the creativity to flow out of ones head onto paper, or computer depending on what you are sketching on.
When it comes to design, specifically typography, these two words mean something different than we are all used to. These two terms are spacing tools that can really set your design apart if used properly. These terms also set the mediocre designers apart from the professionals.
In our previous blog post, “Three Ways Starting a Business is a LOT like Farming,” we wrote about starting a business, but those go hand-in-hand with running a business. Simplifying this post into three words we would say, “It takes work.” There is so much that goes into running a business that it’s nearly impossible to do it alone. We have three reasons why it takes more than one person.
We talk to so many business owners every week and constantly have to share how important marketing your business is, so we came up with the farming method to explain. Growing up my great grandfather on my dad’s side of the family was a farmer and my great grandmother on my mom’s side of the family was a farmer too, so I have a bit of experience with farms. When a person decides to start a farm that does not make them a farmer, that makes them a dreamer.
Today is a day of celebration, of love and of passion. We celebrate the love in the air because we have just reached our one year anniversary! Yes, it is Valentine's Day, but our anniversary trumps it all.

Multiple people can often manage one Facebook Page but often times you may not know who posted what. Starting February 20th Facebook is changing that. They will roll out, what we call, their "admin identifier." How this “admin identifier” works is that when an admin creates a post their name will appear below the Page name next to Posted by (shown in the image).

I recently read an article that poses the question, do cheap logo services threaten the design community? I have been doing this long enough to know that this does not impact quality designers. Many of my clients in the past have used cheap logo design services and quickly discover they do not get access to all the files they need to reproduce the logo for business cards, shirts, websites, large banners or any other promotional/marketing material.
You may or may not have noticed the rebranding of Black + Decker yet, formerly Black & Decker, but sources say it's coming. Whenever a company does a rebranding that simplifies their logo and packaging it makes me wonder why. Why they would go away from their original brand?
I went downstairs this morning to have breakfast, a nice bowl of cereal. As I was pouring my cereal my eye caught the nutrition facts, you know that darn label that tells you how many calories and other stuff you are eating per serving. The part that got me after I poured a bowl full of cereal was the serving size.
